The Brief
Digital Fixers teaches small business owners how to use tech tools to make more money in their businesses, without having to outsource tasks. They do this by focusing on 3 main pillars; SEO, Email Marketing and Google Tools.
The Problem: Digital Fixers runs a membership and frequently ‘runs out’ of content ideas. They needed a clear curriculum to follow that also provided stand-alone content as most of the learning taking place is asynchronous.
The Audience: Digital Fixers, a small business-to-business partnership providing education to other business owners.
The Solution: A ‘macro-curriculum’ which outlines and organises the main content pillars and details the learning objectives to take place within each section.
The Process
Analysis: The analysis and information gathering phase began by identifying Digital Fixers’ most popular and impactful content. We looked at the things that really move the needle for their clients in terms of business growth. From there we identified 3 main pillars of content and broke them down into their components.
Design: Because of the asynchronous and independent nature of the learning experiences, and taking into account the varied experiences that learners already had, a linear curriculum was not fit for purpose for Digital Fixers or their learners. They needed something that people could dip in and out of as their business needs changed and evolved.
Development: After breaking down all the pillars of content into various components, we identified those which would have a greater impact on the business success of the learners and ensured that those subjects were prioritised for development.
Implementation: This curriculum will now inform the design and development of individual courses and smaller curricula. This also allowed Digital Fixers to become much clearer with their business purpose and messaging.
